Leading technology journal recognizes firms for collaborating to save energy company $1.5 million on wireless technology expenses.

TeraNova Consulting Group and LanYap Networks have been recognized as 360 Business Value Award winners by Channel Partners, a technology publication and trade show. The companies were recently honored with eleven other winners during an awards reception at Channel Partners Evolution in Washington, D.C.

The Channel Partners 360 Business Value awards are given to companies for addressing the convergence of IT and telecom services, and creating business value for their enterprise customers. TeraNova and LanYap Networks, a provider of strategic telecom and cloud solutions, were jointly recognized for collaborating to save an Arizona-based energy company $1.5 million on its wireless spend.

Leveraging LanYap Networks’ relationship with the client and TeraNova’s mobility management expertise, the two companies assumed the role of customer advocate and audited the client’s complicated wireless contract. Based on the audit findings, the data plan was optimized to save $43,000 monthly and more than $1.5 million over the life of the contract. Additionally, by eliminating devices that were no longer needed, LanYap and TeraNova saved the energy company another $20,000, which was invested in a wireless help desk to improve efficiency and accrue additional savings in the months to come.
