25 Feb ITBestofBreed Interviews Natasha Royer Coons for Insight on Mobile Plans
ITBestofBreed, a leading online publication for IT solutions providers, recently conducted a Q&A with Managing Director Natasha Royer Coons to explore recent wireless plan changes and how channel partners can leverage them to better manage their clients’ mobility expenses.
Historically, mobility is an area that IT solutions providers have left untouched. But as business enterprises increasingly turn to mobile solutions at a time when the relevant technologies, applications and wireless plans are evolving fast, channel partners who can help with mobile strategy as well as device and plan management will be better positioned to serve clients.
Some key takeaways from the interview:
- Carriers have loosened the reins on wireless plans that have traditionally pooled data. This makes it easier for IT solutions providers and other channel partners to manage and optimize plans on behalf of their clients.
- Before, companies with hundreds or thousands of users had to group every 100 phone lines into a data pool (usually with a 200 gig cap) and deal with multiple invoices. Now they can have any number of devices/users in the same pool and just one invoice.
- In most cases, channel partners can analyze mobile usage and aggregate data consumption to save money for clients and earn a residual commission for providing the service.
TeraNova has been helping enterprises deploy and manage mobility solutions for many years and frequently teams with channel partners to assist clients with mobile strategy, implementation and optimization efforts that raise productivity and almost always lower costs substantially.
TeraNova is hosting a Fast and Furiously Mobile Luncheon at the upcoming Channel Partners show in Las Vegas to share insights with partners about mobile plan audits and TEM.
